Gulliver’s Theme Parks has donated hundreds of boxes of food to help hungry families across the country.

Generous guests donated non-perishable food items in exchange for discounted theme-park tickets, and the result was a huge haul of donations.

The impressive donations will lend a welcomed helping hand to communities surrounding Gulliver’s four Resorts in Warrington, Matlock Bath, Milton Keynes and South Yorkshire.

Contributions were made at Gulliver’s annual Foodbank Weekend, held over the weekend of 7th-8th May in support of MK Foodbank and The Trussell Trust, which supports a nationwide network of foodbanks.

The annual event has enjoyed increasing success since its inception in 2013, generating massive public support with over 10 tonnes of produce accumulated for distribution around the country across Gulliver’s four Resorts.

This means that since 2013, Gulliver’s has donated almost 100 tonnes of local foodbanks to support people in need.

Julie Dalton, Managing Director at Gulliver's Theme Park Resorts said: “The response to our Foodbank events has always been magnificent but this year our wonderful guests have gone above and beyond.

“The sad reality of the Cost-of-Living Crisis is that more people than ever before are relying on foodbanks to ensure that they and their families have enough to eat.

“We at Gulliver’s are extremely passionate about supporting our local charities and communities and we’ll continue to do everything we can to help.”
